C. GRANT HADDOCK

Called to the Bar of British Columbia in 1992, Grant Haddock established Haddock & Company in 2001. Grant's preferred areas of practice are corporate housing law (including non-profit), strata property law and construction law. Grant acts for many housing co-ops and strata corporations along with a number of housing corporations, housing societies, equity housing co-operatives, Indian Lands housing corporations and fractional interest free-hold housing properties. In addition, Grant acts for small and mid-size construction companies and developers.

Grant has appeared as legal counsel in the Provincial and Supreme Courts as well as the Court of Appeal. In addition, Grant has represented clients in front of various tribunals on numerous occasions, including the Human Rights Tribunal, Residential Tenancy Branch, Employment Insurance Tribunal and the Employment Standards Branch.

Grant is a frequent speaker at education conferences and seminars hosted by the Cooperative Housing Federation of BC, the Condominium Homeowners Association, and the Continuing Legal Education Society of BC, speaking on a variety of topics as they touch on non-profit housing and strata property including human rights, construction and contracts, privacy and good practice management for boards and strata councils.
